Croatian Cuisine

Knowing where is Croatia will be important for tourists who will be visiting the country. But another common inquiry among tourists is the dining scene in the country. Luckily for tourists, Croatians are very particular with the quality of their food. Whether you will be dining in a luxurious restaurant or a local deli down the street, most foods served in the country are really good.

For breakfasts, you can get a free buffet breakfast in hotels. Unfortunately, private room rentals and apartments do not offer free breakfasts to guests. Hotels serve breakfast for their guests but restaurants and cafes in Croatia are usually closed during breakfast hours since it is customary for the locals to eat breakfast at home.

There are plenty of good restaurants in Croatia even if they are not high end. Most restaurants are open from noon until midnight without any breaks. This means you can enjoy delicious meals even if it is during snack time or almost midnight. For quick snacks, tourists can feast on sandwiches from delis. Dining in restaurants require casual clothing but some restaurants especially the high end ones would require a specific dress code. When tipping in Croatia, the tip amount is usually included in the final bill unless stated otherwise. But it is always better to round off the amount.
