Before Croatia became independent from the communists especially under the rule of Yugoslavia, the country has actually undergone different wars especially the World War II. There was even a time when Croatia was included in the formation of a new union which was called the Kingdom of Serbs, Coats, and Slovenes. It was not until the year 1992 that Croatia was recognized diplomatically by the United Nations. But the war for independence in the country ended later in the year 1995.
